چکیده

to treat with endovascular embolization. Balloon remodeling and stent-assisted coil embolization have been increasingly available therapeutic strategy in the treatment of these complex lesions (1-3). To our knowledge, there are a few papers that wide-necked basilar bifurcation aneurysms were treated with the Yconfigured dual stent assisted coil embolization (4-6). But all patients were unruptured or recanalized after coil embolization in initial subarachnoid hemorrhage. In our case, a single stent was deployed from P1 segment of posterior cerebral artery (PCA) to basilar artery (BA) and then coil embolization was performed. After coil compaction occurred, second stent was deployed from contralateral P1 segment to BA and detachable coils were placed into the aneurysm via microcatheter through the interstices of two stents. We report a successful staged Y-configured stents-assisted coil embolization.

Y-configured double stent-assisted coil embolization with double microcatheter technique for complex basilar bifurcation aneurysm.

Y-configured double stent technique is useful for coil embolization of a bifurcation wide neck aneurysm while preserving the patency of the two important vessels. However, if the important vessels emanating directly from the aneurysm comprised four vessels, two vessels not deployed, Y-stents might not be preserved with the Y-stent technique by itself. We report a case treated with Y-configured ...

Sequential sidelong balloon remodeling technique in coil embolization of a wide-necked basilar tip aneurysm.

The use of balloon remodeling technique for coil embolization has developed into a safe alternative to stent assisted coil embolization for wide-necked aneurysms. Dual antiplatelet therapy when a stent is placed for assistance in the treatment of ruptured aneurysms is of concern. There are cases in which a single balloon seems insufficient to protect from coil herniation, like when two vessels ...

Transluminal stent-assisted coil embolization of a vertebral confluence aneurysm: technique report.

BACKGROUND Recent advances in stent technology have allowed for negotiation of often tortuous posterior circulation intracranial vasculature. Stent-assisted coil embolization is a novel treatment for complex wide-necked aneurysms, as stents provide a buttress that allows for coil deposition while preventing coil herniation into the parent vessel lumen. We describe a case of stent-assisted coil ...

Usefulness of Non-Contrast-Enhanced MR Angiography Using a Silent Scan for Follow-Up after Y-Configuration Stent-Assisted Coil Embolization for Basilar Tip Aneurysms.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Y-configuration stent-assisted coil embolization is used for treating wide-neck aneurysms. Noninvasive alternatives to x-ray DSA for follow-up after Y-configuration stent-assisted coil embolization treatment are required. This study aimed to assess the usefulness of non-contrast-enhanced MRA by using a Silent Scan (silent MRA) for follow-up after Y-configuration stent-ass...

Y-stent-assisted coil embolization of wide-neck intracranial aneurysms. A single center experience.

This report evaluated the short and midterm results of the safety and effectiveness of the treatment technique with hybrid and non-hybrid Y-configured, dual stent-assisted coil embolization of wide-neck intracranial aneurysms, and reviewed the literature concerning this technique. Nine patients, eight with unruptured and one with ruptured aneurysms were included in the study. Of aneurysms embol...
